1. Scope and objects of statistics: Traffic accidents occurring on roads within the area of Taipei City are the scope and objects of statistics.(1) Accidents caused by driving motor vehicles or power machinery.(2) Accidents occurring on the road.(3) Accidents resulting in human deaths. (Those that meet the reporting requirements for Category A1 of the road traffic accident investigation report)2. Statistical standard time: The facts occurring from the 1st of each month to the end of the year are used as the standard.3. Classification standards: Classified by road category and road type. 4. Relevant laws and regulations:(1) Road traffic accidents: According to Article 2 of the "Regulations for Handling Road Traffic Accidents," refers to accidents caused by driving motor vehicles or power machinery on the road, resulting in human death, injury, or vehicle and property damage.(2) Road: Refers to public roads, streets, alleys, squares, verandas, corridors, or other places for public passage.(3) Road category and road type are based on the first party involved as the statistical standard.(4) Exclusive road refers to roads exclusively used by various industries. (If the accident occurs on two or more different types of roads, the road on which the first party is driving is the main one).(5) Road traffic accidents do not include accidents involving the railway (train) itself, but accidents between trains and motor vehicles or power machinery are included, called level crossing accidents.5. Data collection methods and compilation procedures: The Traffic Division of the Bureau of Transportation fills out the road traffic accident investigation report each month and submits it to the Traffic Division of the Bureau of Transportation for compilation. The monthly data is compiled into this form according to the investigation report by the respective police substation.
