Under section 36 of the Patent Act, the application should be made public 18 months after the filing date. This public procedure opens the invention to public disclosure gazette bibliographic and explanatory materials, including the applicant, inventor, and agent names, the IPC classification of the invention application case, the invention summary, representative drawings, etc., in a multi-page scanned file format.
