Coral reef ecosystems are the most diverse ecosystems in the ocean, nurturing a wide variety of marine life. They play a vital role in building land, protecting coastlines, maintaining ecological balance, providing food and medicine, promoting sustainable social development, driving tourism, supporting the blue economy, and contributing to education, research, and the cultivation of marine culture, among other values, functions, and services. They are important assets for both natural ecology and human society. In order to carry out coral conservation actions, the Marine Conservation Bureau is currently promoting the "Coral Conservation Plan" and aiming to establish partnerships with local stakeholders to collectively promote coral conservation efforts.
