1. Scope and objects of statistics: Any traffic accidents that occur on roads in New Taipei City are within the scope and objects of statistics.(1) Accidents caused by driving motor vehicles or power machinery.(2) Accidents that occur on the road.(3) Fatal accidents. (i.e. those that meet the reporting requirements for Investigation Report A1 of Road Traffic Accidents)2. Statistical standard time: Based on the occurrences from the 1st to the end of each month.3. Classification standard: Classified according to road categories and road types.4. Related laws and regulations:(1) Road traffic accidents: According to Article 2 of the "Regulations on the Handling of Road Traffic Accidents", it refers to accidents caused by motor vehicles or power machinery on roads resulting in death, injury, or vehicle and property damage.(2) Road: Refers to public roads, streets, lanes, squares, arcades, corridors, or other places accessible to the public.(3) Road categories and road types are based on the first party involved as the statistical standard.(4) Exclusive roads refer to roads exclusively used by various industries. (If accidents occur on roads of two or more different categories, the road on which the first party is driving is considered the primary road). (5) Road traffic accidents do not include accidents involving the railway (train) itself, but accidents involving trains and motor vehicles or power machinery are included and referred to as level crossing accidents.5. Data collection methods and compilation procedures: The Traffic Division of this Bureau compiles the road traffic accident investigation report forms completed each month and submits them to the Traffic Brigade of this Bureau for compilation. The monthly data is then compiled into this form by the respective branches based on the investigation report form.
